Whilst browsing around on Ulik's website, I found a little link on the Glisssssssssendo page that FINALLY unravels the mystery surrounding how Le Snob actually float around creepily. (In the video I posted a while back Ulik said it was "a machine" but that wasn't specific enough for me, DAMMIT!) Regardez.
Ha... we outwitted them!
and now that my detective work is done I'm going to bed because I'm a little bit too obsessed and its worrying me.

How Le SNOB float!
Go here and watch the 20th video down, its about Glisssssssssendo and Ulik talks about 2/3rds of the way along about what Le Snob use to float. It's in French, bien sûr.
Also, go here. Their website is full of yummy things and music/video extracts from their shows. For some reason, this one is also their official site and while it doesn't have as much in the way of sexy music and video, its more up to date on what they're up to.
